I studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, where I learned to see form, balance, texture, and detail as a language of their own. As an artist, I participated in several art competitions in Italy and won a couple of them—experiences that shaped my creative eye and my passion for creating beautiful, meaningful work.
My love for Italian art, traditions, and gastronomy eventually led me to become a professional tour guide. I learned how to tell stories and, more importantly, how to help people notice the details they might otherwise pass by—a work of art, a historic street, or the sense of place found in a traditional Italian meal.
My work as a guide also gave me the opportunity to explore the history of gastronomy in Southern Italy. You might be surprised by how many fascinating stories can hide behind a simple pastry. Ask me about them the next time you pick one up!
Today, I create custom cakes and Italian desserts in Boerne, Texas,

Dolci Momenti means “sweet moments.”
For me, it is where art, Italian tradition, and imagination come together—one extraordinary creation at a time.
Elena, the artist and pastry creator behind Dolci Momenti.
Authenticity is at the heart of what I do—from the recipes and techniques I use to the ingredients and products I choose. I continue to deepen that connection to Italy by returning each year for hands-on workshops at different pastry shops, learning from pastry professionals and bringing new techniques, ideas, and inspiration back to Texas.
But Dolci Momenti is about more than traditional Italian desserts. It is a place where your ideas can become something extraordinary.
Whether you are looking for a beautiful birthday cake, an elegant centerpiece for your wedding, or simply something completely unique, I approach each creation as a piece of sweet decor—designed especially for you, with the same attention to form, detail, and composition characteristic of a work of art.
And the best part? You can eat it!
How did it all start...
I didn’t begin as a baker.
I began as an artist in Italy.
Bringing Italy Back to My Kitchen
The world of Italian pastry, just like the world around us, is in continuous evolution.
I like to think of my approach as Tradition in Evolution: respecting the techniques, flavors, and craftsmanship passed down through generations while remaining open to new ideas, discoveries, and creative possibilities.
That is why I continually return to Italy, visiting pastry studios and attending hands-on workshops with pastry professionals. Every trip brings something new back to my kitchen in Texas: a technique, an ingredient, an idea, or simply a renewed appreciation for the traditions that inspired Dolci Momenti in the first place.
